    Eastview Community Foundation Kicks Off Membership Drive

    The Eastview Community Foundation (EVCF) announces its first annual membership drive. Individual member levels range from $25 to $500. Membership benefits include recognition in the quarterly newsletter and on the EVCF web site. Additionally, a fun branded EVCF window cling and a membership certificate are included.

    Funds raised by the EVCF are used for grants, scholarships, and Random Acts of Kindness to schools in Eastview community. To date, the Foundation has awarded more than $78,000 in grants, and more than 400 senior scholarships worth nearly $225,000. Additionally, Random Acts of Kindness have been awarded to every school totally over $18,500 and $20,000 in matching grants have been awarded. An alumni scholarship and the Dewey Educator scholarship funds have also been established.

    According to membership chair Micki Mathiesen, “This membership drive is all about the children in our community. When each of us gives a little, we are able to support our students in reaching for the stars, whether in academics, the arts, or athletics.”

    The Eastview Community Foundation (EVCF) is a local non-profit organization that exists to build and administer funds for the long-term benefit of the Eastview Community. The Foundation serves schools in the Eastview community, which include Highland, Diamond Path, Greenleaf, Thomas Lake and Oak Ridge Elementary Schools, Black Hawk, Falcon Ridge and Scott Highlands Middle Schools, Dakota Ridge, The School of Environmental Studies and Eastview High School.
