Gina Buccellato (pronouns: she/her) joined the EVCF Board in 2017. She and her husband Mike Supina have lived in Eagan for 24 years and have three children, a son (’15) and a daughter (’12) who have graduated from Eastview High School and a daughter who is currently a senior there. Gina grew up in New Jersey and received Bachelors and Masters degrees from MIT and a Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley, all in Chemical Engineering. She has worked at 3M Company for over 25 years and is currently the Technical Director of the Transportation Safety Division laboratory. She currently serves on the Executive Committee for the Center for Transportation Studies at the University of Minnesota. Gina was a member of the Thomas Lake Elementary School Booster Club for nine years and brought science-based demonstrations to Thomas Lake and several other local elementary schools through the 3M Visiting Wizards program. Gina also volunteered for several years with EVCF before taking a two year assignment for 3M in a small village in Sweden where she and her family took the opportunity to explore the region and enjoy local cuisine, culture, recreation and an overall simpler way of living.
