Nita (pronouns: she/her) joined the board in 2019. After graduating from Eastview, she studied Biology and Public Health at Macalester College and completed a Masters in Educational Studies at John Hopkins University.
Nita taught 8th grade science through Teach For America and most recently worked in public health administration in rural Uganda. Her experiences in the U.S. and abroad solidified her commitment to eliminating social inequity. She is specifically interested in supporting Eastview students who come from backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in post-secondary education. In her free time, she enjoys walks, trivia, and searching for art deco glass candlesticks.
