Our Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) program initiative strives to assist schools in removing barriers so kids can make the most of their education. Every year since 2005, EVCF presents each of the schools in the Eastview attendance area with discretionary dollars to use in a manner in which they feel will have the most impact.
For the 2021-22 school year EVCF distributed $16,000 across 12 schools.
- support community food efforts for families
- purchase art supplies and math games
- provide meaningful experiences and opportunities for students
- purchase shoes, pants, and winter gear
Dr. Kindem, principal of Oak Ridge Elementary School of Leadership, Environmental and Health Sciences, tells us — “Because of your Eastview Community Foundation you allow us to create an environment for learning that puts students’ needs and voices first.”
