In 2017 I was honored to receive the Imagine Scholarship in memory of Sarah Friedman. The money I received from the scholarship helped relieve some financial stress for my first-year of college. When starting school last fall, I quickly learned just how difficult it is to get by financially, and the tremendous difference the scholarship made for me and my family. With the money I saved with the scholarship, I was able to travel abroad to Ecuador during my first-year at St. Olaf College. I am so very grateful for that amazing opportunity, and the scholarship I received that helped me do it. I continue to remember the generosity of the Friedman family and Eastview Community Foundation as I enjoy my second year of school at St. Olaf.
