Leads the Foundation’s grant program by managing the full grant lifecycle—from outreach and application review to board approval and public recognition. This role ensures grants are aligned with Foundation priorities, support meaningful school and student needs, and maintain accountability to donors through transparent and effective processes.

Responsibilities

Grant Program Management

  • Oversee the annual grant application cycle and launch the Request for Proposals (RFP) process each January.
  • Conduct outreach to principals and teachers to encourage grant submissions and increase awareness of funding opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Foundation and school principals, teachers, and grant applicants.
  • Review incoming applications for completeness, clarity, and alignment with Foundation goals.

Review & Selection Process

  • Recruit and lead a 4-person Grant Review Committee.
  • Prepare and distribute the grant review package, including applications, evaluation tools, and award history.
  • Facilitate the committee review process and develop funding recommendations.
  • Present final grant recommendations to the full EVCF Board for approval during the April board vote.
  • Ensure grant decisions are fair, transparent, and aligned with Foundation priorities.

Compliance & Accountability

  • Monitor prior-year grant recipients to ensure impact reports are submitted and documented.
  • Maintain records of awarded grants, project outcomes, and funding history.
  • Track grant implementation and collect stories of impact to strengthen donor trust and future funding efforts.

Recognition & Public Relations

  • Coordinate with the school district for public recognition of grant recipients, including the July School Board meeting.
  • Prepare grant award certificates for the annual Memorial Day Awards Ceremony.
  • Support communication efforts to highlight funded projects and their impact on students and schools.
