Kate Mitchell Alfonzo is a graduate of Eagan High School and is a mom of three children in District 196, one who attends Eastview High School and two at OakRidge Elementary. She enjoys spending time in nature, being active, and reading—and is always up for exploring new places and enjoying a good meal with family and friends.
She has her undergraduate degrees from Minnesota State University and her Master of Arts degree in Teaching from National Louis University in Chicago. She has over twenty years’ experience in education in Chicago- as a teacher, coach, administrator, and consultant. As a lifelong learner, she is passionate about coaching educators, working alongside children and communities in joyful learning, and centering topics of equity in education. Her work in classrooms spans pre-K through 8th grade and with graduate students
